CONDITIONS OF BOARDING

Please read the following carefully.  You are deemed to have agreed to these conditions of boarding when any booking you make is accepted.

All cats must be fully vaccinated against feline enteritis and influensa.
You must exhibit to us a valid vaccination certificate before your cat can be left at the cattery  .

Incoming cats/small animals should arrive in a proper pet carrier or their own cage/hutch.  Carriers will stay with them should  evacuation of the area be necessary.

All male cats over 7 months old must be neutred.

Cats or small animals in need of veterinary attention will be treated by the local Vet unless owners ask specifically for their own vet to be consulted.  There will be a charge of 55p per mile for this service.  Treatment will be given at the discretion of the Vet.  Fees for veterinary services usually have to be paid at time of treatment, therefore the cattery will settle any payment, although the cats owner is liable for the full amount which must be paid on collection of their pet.

Although we give all of our guests the greatest possible care and attention we will not normally accept liability for any loss, injury or illness. Notwitstanding this, the cattery has a comprehensive insurance policy which includes cover for veterinary care, except the case of pre-existing conditions.

The Proprietor should be told of any current or recent illness or of any characteristic of health or habit, which may give rise to concern. The Proprietor shall reserve the right to take whatever action they think fit to ensure the well being of boarders.

Should any cat or small animal remain uncollected for four weeks after the agreed terminal date of its stay, the proprietor shall reserve the right to assume ownership and take any action which they consider reasonable.

Boarding fees are payable on departure or may be paid in advance.  Accounts of long-term boarders are payable monthly or in advance.

If the situation should occur whereby payment by cheque is not cleared, clients will be held responsible for any additional bank charges incurred by us.

Cancellation Policy:  During busy holiday periods when we are fully booked, all days booked must be paid for, unless a minimum of 7 days notice of any cancellation of, or changes to, the original booking has been notified to us. Charges are not applied to those days where the cancelled spaces can, if possible, be reallocated to another pet. This cancellation policy also applies to pets being dropped off later or picked up earlier than originally arranged.

In addition to the above conditions, the following considerations are helpful.

  • You may bring your own bedding/favourite toys and settle your pet if you wish.
  • Flea and worm treatments for cats are advised at least a week before admission date.
  • Collars with magnetic parts should be removed.

Lastly, please do not forget your cat's vaccination certificate

as this could mean a delay in admission to the cattery
